Middle/Senior Manual QA Engineer

The Ideal Candidate:

— 3+ years of experience in QA within commercial projects, especially in manual testing of web-based applications or/and e-commerce solutions;
— strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, processes, and tools;
— clear understanding of software development lifecycle, and process for quality assurance;
— solid understanding of testing fundamentals, process, and SW quality standards.
— creation/maintenance of test documentation;
— experience in working with requirements and without it;
— knowledge of HTML, CSS, XML;
— using browser tools and add-ons to verify CSS and JS code;
— strong understanding of working client-server applications;
— experience in Jira and Confluence systems;
— Agile / Scrum experience;
— understanding of bug source FE, BE;
— tracking and resolving issues after UAT, acceptance criteria: Bug, CR;
— experience in test result evaluation, reporting, and metrics;
— ability to plan own tasks and utilize time in best way;
— constantly learn from experience and be proactive;
— ability to learn and adapt quickly in a dynamic environment;
— UX testing approach and understanding;
— ability to deal with multiple projects;
— stress-resistant, being able to work towards deadlines;
— strong verbal and written communication skills;
— Upper-Intermediate English level (or higher).

— experience with Business Analysis;
— experience with creating User Stories and FSD description;
— basic experience with version control systems (CVS / SVN / GIT);
— experience with leading a QA team or building a QA process;
— experience in different types of non-functional testing.

The Role:
— review requirements specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback;
— create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test documentation;
— estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities;
— regression, Functional, Exploratory, UI, Integration, Performance testing;
— work in a QA team to analyze business requirements, report and verify bugs’ to guarantee the quality of the developed ecommerce solutions;
— keep all project QA-related documents/files up-to-date;
— ensure that developed QA-related documentation and other artifacts of testing meet the agreed standards/guidelines;
— actively participate in daily project team meetings and brainstorming activities related to the project;
— collaborate with project team;
— track problem reports using a bug-tracking system;
— produce test evaluation reports;
— participate in software design reviews;
— manage testing environment;
— provide support to junior team members;
— provide updates to the task estimates and status of assigned tasks.

As a consultant you are expected to develop expertise both in technology and in communicating complex concepts and rationale to non-techies. We’ll encourage and support this with frequent opportunities to share ideas internally. We also have consultants frequently deliver at regional, national and global conferences.
